“We have confirmed news of Qaddafi’s military in Tripoli seizing all 4x4 offroad (all-terrain) vehicles in Tripoli to transport militias from Chad to Libya and possibly to convert them in ‘technicals’ i.e. light fighting vehicles to attack the democratic people of Libya”.

“We have confirmed news of further arrests yesterday and today by Qaddafi’s military of young people in Suk-Aljumaa (Tripoli) whom participated in demonstrations in the last days and whose identity has been revealed by TV clips.

Those arrested yesterday, we have learned, have been drugged and, according to our sources in Tripoli, may be exhibited today to the media as purported ‘evidence’ to discredit the revolutionary forces as a bunch of drugged youths”.

Gaddhaffi update

Saturday, 26 February, 2011: The son of Libya's strongman Muammar Gadhaffi has denied reports that his father will destroy oil supply facilities in Libya in the wake of violent confrontation between government security forces and anti-government protesters. Saif al-Islam Gadhafi told CNN-Turk on Friday, "We will never demolish the sources of oil. They belong to the people," Saif said in an interview translated from English into Turkish on the CNN-Turk website. He said the Gaddafi family had no intention of fleeing Libya, and the government was in control of the west, south and centre of the country. "We have plans A, B and C. Plan A is to live and die in Libya. Plan B is to live and die in Libya. Plan C is to live and die in Libya," Saif said.
